Chapala — Unit C
Furnished private room with private bath
Available November 2026
A furnished room in one of our shared homes means the bedroom is set up before you arrive, and so are the kitchen, living room, and dining area. Our furnished rooms are in Caballo Blanco (East Austin) and Chapala (Manor), at $800 to $1,000 a month, plus a utilities share that’s typically $100 to $150.
They’re rented directly by the owners, with utilities and internet already running and shared spaces cleaned every month. If you’re flying in for a new job or an internship, you can move in with a suitcase.

Every furnished bedroom comes with a bed frame, a mattress, and a nightstand, with a queen or king bed. Some rooms also have a dresser or a desk, so ask us and we’ll confirm what’s in the room you’re looking at. Bring your own sheets, comforter, pillows, and towels. Everything you share with housemates is furnished in every one of our homes: the living room with a smart TV, the dining area, and a kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. Each home also has its own washer and dryer and high-speed internet, so there’s nothing to buy, rent, or set up on day one.
Chapala, in Manor, is the home to look at first if you want a furnished room: all five of its bedrooms are furnished, and it has a large covered back patio. At Caballo Blanco in East Austin, some bedrooms are furnished, and housemates share a game room, a big backyard, and the neighborhood pool.
Pick a furnished room if you’re moving from out of state, staying for a set term, or would rather not spend your first weekend in a furniture store. Pick an unfurnished one if you already own a bed you like or plan to stay for years. Unfurnished bedrooms cost a little less each month, and you’ll find them among our other rooms for rent in Austin.
Either way, compare the full first-year cost, not just the rent. Buying a bed, desk, and dresser for an empty room adds up quickly, and our guide to renting a room vs an apartment walks through those numbers.
In our experience, people moving to Austin who need a room quickly tend to pick a furnished one, especially those coming for an internship or co-op. There’s no furniture to buy or ship, so you can sign, fly in, and start work. These guides help with the rest of the move:
If you want a whole furnished place to yourself instead, Furnished Finder is the usual site, though it costs far more: a furnished one-bedroom there ran about $2,200 a month in October 2026. Our Furnished Finder guide compares the two.
Every bedroom at Chapala in Manor is furnished, and so are some at Caballo Blanco in East Austin. Our other two homes, Arborside in North Austin and Mary Lewis in South Austin, have unfurnished bedrooms, but their kitchens and living areas are furnished like every home.
Our furnished rooms rent for $800 to $1,000 a month on a year-long lease. Your share of utilities, internet, and monthly cleaning of shared areas is typically $100 to $150 a month on top of that. A furnished bedroom costs slightly more than a similar unfurnished one.
Every furnished bedroom comes with a bed frame, a mattress, and a nightstand, and the bed is either a queen or a king. Some rooms also have a dresser or a desk. Ask us about the room you’re looking at and we’ll confirm exactly what’s in it.
No. Bring your own basics: sheets, a comforter, pillows, and towels. Everything else in the bedroom is set up for you.
Yes. Furnished rooms are a good fit for internships and co-ops because there’s nothing to buy or move, and our 3-month minimum lease covers most programs. If yours is a little shorter, reach out and we’ll see what we can do.
